About Speaker

Thomas-Olivier Leautier is the Chief Economist of TotalEnergies. With over 25 years of experience in the electric power industry, he has held prominent roles including academia (MIT and Toulouse School of Economics) and industry (McKinsey & Company, Alcan Inc., EDF, and TotalEnergies). He has authored numerous academic articles and the book "Imperfect Markets and Imperfect Regulation: An Introduction to the Microeconomics and Political Economy of Power Markets,"
published by MIT Press in 2018. Thomas-Olivier holds a Bachelor of Science from Ecole Polytechnique - Paris, Master of Science from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées - Paris, and PhD in Economics and a Master in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in
Cambridge, USA.
