Adani Total Gas Limited
In partnership with Adani, TotalEnergies ranks among the four biggest municipal gas distributors in the country. In February 2020, TotalEnergies purchased 50% of Adani’s participation into Adani Gas Ltd (later renamed Adani Total Gas Ltd), reaching a share of 37.4% in the company through an investment higher than 700 M$.
ATGL operates in 34 geographical areas and another 19 through its participation in Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt Ltd (IOAGPL), a 50/50 CGD JV between Indian Oil and Adani Total Gas Ltd. The company has a network of 559 CNG stations providing a clean fuel for transportation. This network is being expanded and it could include in the future alternative fuels such as LNG and green hydrogen.
ATGL has formed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) - Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) to focus exclusively on developing the Electric Vehicles (EV) ecosystem in India. ATEL has started offering EV charging services to E4W, E-Buses and B2B segments, with a pan-India focus. The company operates 1200 EV charging stations on 314 sites.
Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Limited (ATBL) is a 100% ATGL-owned SPV dedicated to the development of biogas activities in India. ATBL is currently building one plant in Barsana, Uttar Pradesh, with a final production capacity of 42 tons per day of compressed biogas and will consume a mix of cow manure, paddy straw and press mud. Currently the first phase of the project is operational and ramping up to produce 10 tons per day of compressed biogas by end 2024. Along with this, 2 additional biogas projects in Ahmedabad and Rajkot in Gujarat are under development with more sites being identified all over the country.
